fox

Today I was leaving my neighborhood and saw something I have never seen there before. I saw a fox news van and a criminal investigation unit van. Later, when I got home I checked the fox news web page and saw that a house had been broken into. I felt so bad for the family ...they are nice people that always wave and the dad is always spending time with his kids.
I try to pray every night that God will protect us and keep us safe. I pray that He will protect our friends and family too.

make sure you know the queston before you give an answer :)

It was my first week of training at Bealls and I was working in the back room. There was a group of new people being trained, at the same time, to work at a new store. Two of the people were guys ( one black and one hispanic). We were all talking, being in the back room sometimes it would get loud. Well the black guy asked me a question but what I heard wasn't what he really asked. He asked me,"Where are all of the black people at?". Most of us in the back were white women. I thought he had asked what fast food places were in the area....so I said, "Taco Bell". He looked at me funny then told the hispanic guy what I said. Then I realized what he had really asked me and how bad what I had said sounded. I was embarrassed...and told him about the misunderstanding. We all got a good laugh out of that situation.
I wonder how many other times in my life that has happend? I wonder if I have made any offences against people because I didn't make sure I heard what someone was really saying. I am sure we all have. This is a good reminder to stop and take time and truly listen especially when you are expected to give an answer!!

the debate

I have been debating, in my head, if I should start blogging. Well, part of me won. Part of me doesn't want to share things because that is showing vulnerability. I am learning to be real..for too long ,in my life, I tried to fit into everyone's mold. I think we have all been there. I just was an extreme case. Time has gone by and I have come a long way. I admit I have to fight to not get back into those molds...and not care what others think.
I hope this blog wil help me express myself better. I want to let people know there is more to me. I am not just the shy girl that only wants to listen and that doesn't have anything to say. Sometimes in this world of people, that don't have a problem opening up and talking, I get lost. So, here I am. I can openly express me and what's going on around me.
I would like to thank my friends that encouraged me to do this. Thank you for being real with me...and for wanting me to be real with you.
